Walking through the Vegas strip, and we came across an absolutely insane street performer, a bucket drummer going by the name of "Matthew Pretty" - a.k.a "bucket boy". Without commenting on Pretty's youthful good looks, he killed it in his performance. Wait for the finale starting at 9:00...

⁣Common Walks Up on Street Performer Ray Wimley

Rod Stewart surprises crowd with impromptu street performance of the song "Handbags and Gladrags" at london's piccadilly circus. 06/11/2017

While in Coimbra you can run into some fantastic performers. This particular night I ran into a folk punk performer from Holland.

As I was sitting down enjoying my dinner at Maria Portuguese a street performer steps up to the stage. He proceeds to sing to us about how he is not a good person. Then apologizes about needing to leave as he is late for making dinner for his family.

Certainly the best folk punk act you will find in Coimbra. Very authentic and nails these covers to the stone walls.

L'Amour Toujours (original by Gigi D'Agostino) is one of my favorite songs playing with Daniele Vitale Sax. I hope you like our violin and sax street performance.

The song all three sing together is Lewis Capaldi's "Before You Go". The song Jacob sang alone was part of his own song called "Weight Of The Wave".

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

look up and be present, before it's too late.

it's been a while since i choreographed a duet like this and i'm honored to have been a part of such an incredible event like Flip The Switch. i wanted to present a piece for the class that everyone could put their own take on it. a story that everyone can relate to, especially nowadays. a HUGE shoutout to my partner in crime, kaycee rice, for pushing through and dealing with my process in this piece. like i said, it's been a while since i did anything like this so i'm just so grateful to have someone like kaycee to tell this story with me.

special thank you to Alexander Chung and Jasmine Mason Chung for organizing this extraordinary space for these artists.
special thank you to Haley Fitzgerald for allowing me to play around with you, while trying to figure out this piece...

I intended to shoot "Sing WIth Me" in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. But when I showed up to film, the bridge was....CENSORED by FOG (omg!!!). I was REALLY disappointed. And then, faced with a decision to cancel the shoot or film anyway. I chose to film anyway because of a coin toss. And here's why I'm glad I did:

Turns out, so many people were disappointed by the lack of the Golden Gate Bridge (including those who flew from outside the country just to see it). But THIS Chinese man named CJ set the theme for the whole day: Even in times of disappointment, let's sing, have fun, and appreciate life ANYWAY. All I can say is, I'm GLAD I did not cancel.

As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. A lot of people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way for them to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this actually works (and that makes ME happy).

BLOODBOUND - Drink with the Gods (2023) // Official Music Video // AFM Records

If BLOODBOUND stands for one thing then it is flawless Nordic power metal. Not only do they prove this again on their new album "Tales from the North", but they absolutely outdo it with their new single "Drink with the Gods". This track doesn't lack catchiness or opportunities to roar along with your friends and bump your drinking horns against each other. BLOODBOUND show this year that they still have it after almost twenty years of band history and can write even catchier songs.

Lyrics:
When we march to the shore
Over the hills
Down in the valleys steep
We have crossed over fields
Sailed seven seas
Down in the mountains deep

Pouring the mead (hey)
Filling the cups (hey)
Raising your glass
Hold 'em high

Then we drink and shout
And howl into the night
Pounding our shields
Getting ready to fight
Riding against all odds
Then we drink with the gods
Drink drink drink
We drink with the gods
Drink with the gods

We have conquered new lands
Raiding their shores
Down in the valleys steep
We have stolen their gold
So I've been told
Down in the mountains deep

Pouring the mead (hey)
Filling the cups (hey)
Raising your glass
Hold 'em high

Then we drink and shout
And howl into the night
Pounding our shields
Getting ready to fight
Riding against all odds
Then we drink with the gods
Drink drink drink
We drink with the gods
Drink with the gods

We drink
We drink
We drink with the gods

Pouring the mead (hey)
Filling the cups (hey)
Raising your glass
Hold 'em high

Then we drink and shout
And howl into the night
Pounding our shields
Getting ready to fight
Riding against all odds
Then we drink with the gods
Drink drink drink
We drink with the gods
Drink with the gods
We drink with the gods
Drink drink drink
We drink with the gods
Drink with the gods

LYRICS:

Throw me back
I battle but my strength is drained
My time is over
Let go of holds
I’ve held so long
This is vast
A snowstorm in an hourglass

This is bleak
This is deeper than the deepest sea
Swallow me up
And let the darkness delete me

I am a lost soul
Behind the smoke and mirrors
I am a lost soul
Behind the smoke and mirrors

With demons within
A wake of destruction
I’m starting to waiver
I’m starting to lose everything
This is fierce
A snowstorm in an hourglass

This is bleak
This is deeper than the deepest sea
Swallow me up
And let the darkness delete me
I am a lost soul
Behind the smoke and mirrors
I am a lost soul
Behind the smoke and mirrors

The harbour’s eyes can’t see me
Too far gone
Desolate and lone
Do I deserve to burn?
Now the venom spills out on the floor
No one hears the cry
My guilty conscience has severed the cord
Do I deserve to burn?
Do I deserve to burn?

This is bleak
This is deeper than the deepest sea
Swallow me up
And let the darkness delete me
I am a lost soul
Behind the smoke and mirrors
I am a lost soul
Behind the smoke and mirrors
Do I Deserve to burn?
Behind the smoke and mirrors

If god is just and fair
Why wasn’t my heart spared?

I’ve waited all my life
To see this holy light
You’re smothering my eyes
I wanna see it, I wanna feel it
The harder that I pray
The more you make it rain
I’m soaked in all this pain
Forgive me for drowning

Deafen me with your voice
You stuffed me with this void

And If I’ve done you wrong by not enduring this pain
Well, where were you and all your eternal holy grace?

I’ve been sitting on your front porch
Knocking on your front door
Knocking ‘till my knuckles go red raw
I’ve been sitting in the ether
Looking for belief, I’m
Lost like a whistle in the wind

I’ve been kneeling on my bare bones
Speaking with my eyes closed
Keeping both my knuckles pressing my nose
But nothing that I ever do,
Will close this hole inside of me

If you are just and fair,
Why won’t you meet me there?

And If I’ve done you wrong by not enduring this pain
Well, where were you and all your eternal holy grace?

How many tear-stained sonatas must I sing for you to see?
I never believed in you, because you never believed in me
